ATTRACTIONS

PART 2!!!

Pekan Nabalu is also a popular stop heading towards Kinabalu Park. There is the 15-meter Nabalu Watch Tower here, the best spot to see the majestic Mount Kinabalu. Tourists can take photos in front of the mountain without interference from trees or electric poles. In addition, the town is famous for local cuisine and handicraft markets various village products such as handicrafts, chips and crops are retailed from shops at low prices. Relaxing at the Nabalu lookout platform or walking through the convenience store savoring the fresh cool air, provides a relaxing holiday experience and local culture.

The Kundasang War Memorial was built to honor Second World War soldiers (Australian & British) and local civilians who suffered during the Sandakan "death march". The complex is surrounded by peaceful gardens with statues and memorial monuments. Walking along pathways while reading historical plaques in four themed gardens gives a sense of gratitude towards past generations' sacrifices. The peaceful environment here is perfect for reflection and memories of the past service, surrounded by the lush greenery of the well-manicured gardens.

Rabbit Farm Kundasang is a small petting zoo where individuals can play with cute rabbits in the high-altitude climate of Kundasang. Families and kids will be entertained by watching cuddly white rabbits jumping inside the lawn area. The peaceful countryside life and hilly terrain give a happy relaxing experience while petting the animals. Listening intently to the calls of nature and the cacophony of rabbits makes the tourists feel closer to nature.

Luanti Fish Spa or Tagal Fish Spa is a unique experience where our feet are submerged in natural river water inhabited by tiny fish (Garra rufa). The fish will "squeeze" dead skin cells off from the feet, with a funny but soothing effect. This is good for your foot health. Surrounded by countryside and fresh river water, the fish spa experience is soothing to the mind. Feeling the gentle bite of the fish and hearing the churning of the river is nature therapy that heals you.

There are rows of tall pine trees along a thick green trail in the Mensilou Pine Forest. It is silent and cool air here, perfect for taking portraits under the towering trees. The morning sunlight piercing through the pine leaves creates a silhouette effect in dramatic shape on the golden grass if you are in a fantasy forest. It is extremely calming and relaxing to walk along this path, as all you can hear is the wind and chirping birds.

Mentoki Hideout is a remote camp area near the Kundasang forest. You can pitch a tent in a very serene atmosphere with tall trees all around you. At night, the flicker of the camp fire and the starry sky provide a true "back to nature" ambiance. The peaceful surroundings without the city hustle make this camp the most appropriate place to enjoy nature listening to the forest calls, barbecuing with friends, and watching the gigantic night sky to soothe the soul
